I would not be good at long term lactose intollerance anymore. I bought the Silk's soy yogurt. I bought the almond milk... shiver. These things are not for me. Thank you very kindly to my friends for all the suggestions. I am thinking whole wheat muffing and peanut butter and/or with apple is my friend.
with that in mind, does anyone want a strawberr and a blueberry soygurt and possibly a mostly full container of almond milk?

The milk replacements suck, quite frankly. In something they aren't so bad, but alone they just don't cut it.

What about Lactaid milk in the meantime? I find it usually works OK for me, unless my body is throwing a temper tantrum.

If you're up for a bit of a cooking adventure, you can make your own yogurt out of Lactaid milk. It doesn't set up as well as regular-milk yogurt, but it will set up. Last I checked, you can get yogurt culture at Whole Foods.

When I get home let me post a recipe for my mom's healthy muffins with protein and stuff. When I was wee I hated breakfast food. My mom made these tasty muffins which stealthily had protein and health.

People have been shocked, SHOCKED to find out they are good for you.

If we weren't going away this weekend we'd take it off your hands. Probably stupid to load up on perishables then go away, though.

Sorry it didn't work out for you.

I don't remember if you've ever tried/expressed an opinion on goat's milk? I find it close enough to cow milk that I can tolerate it whereas I loathe the soy and nut milks.

OK we'll ping you Tues about the status of the items.

Goat milk available from TJs in small sizes if you want to make an experiment.

I feel your pain (truly) I am kind of lactose intolerant, something about how milk is processed. I can eat cheese and yogurt and and have half & half in my coffee but no milk even ice cream if I have to much... no chocolate milk I miss that most. LOL, I have a milkshake once in a wile but I pay dearly for it... Chuckle... I cant do soy at all (I'm actually allergic to soy beans). Sigh, but almond milk that's just silly sounding... and gross too.

i could arrange to be at diesel next tuesday, if it's likely to stay good that long. otherwise, i'm here and free this weekend, and...er, i seem to think that where i live (arlington heights, right by the lexington border) is going to be closer to your dwellingplace than more camberville places.
