The continued adventures---

Well, I managed a 23 mile ride (round trip) on Saturday to the Pool Party with M. where I saw many people and had fun feeling all butch and bikery. Only bad part of the ride was getting back up the hill (the stop sign couldn't possibly be at the bottom, but about 4 yards up it)-
K. stayed home and cleaned (w00t!) - now the bathroom doesn't look scary, 2/3 of the carpets are clean. I have to remember to get the computer room Soon (TM)
Sunday M. stayed home and K. took J and I to a suprise party for broken_gizmo at kazmat's house. Lotta gweeps.
I'm envious both K and M have only 2 days of work this week. However, K needs to burn vacation time or lose it and M's overworked and needs a break. If I'm lucky Fearless Leader will let us go a bit early on Thursday (if he's even here) and then it's off to Camden for the holiday.

My mom and dad are about to go off to the West Coast for most of the month- a childhood friend of mine who has the same first name as I do, so has almost always been known as JK (I was JS, of course) is getting married soon, so they're going to go visit her and my aunt in Vancouver.
The 'rents heard from our Turkish AFS student (was w/ us for '94-'95 academic year, iirc). I do miss them- there were 7 in all between '92 and 01: Norway, Turkey, Austria, Finland, France, Italy, and Germany. Nothing quite like having a student for a whole year to learn about the country. Our own personal diplomatic envoy, if you will.
Anyway, My brain still feels somewhat disconnected to my fingers so I'll stop babbling for the moment.
