Maybe I can blame it on the weather
I'm feeling very listless, irritable and generally anxious today. Oh. and unmotivated.
There's plenty to do here at work, but I have been managing to do little or none of it.
Considering how much time I spend at work, I wish I could find a way to be more into it, but most of all this is so bloody tedious! I keep looking forward to getting out of work, but then there's so little of that time. I hate the feeling that the majority of my life is waiting for the next thing.
If I won the lottery....

If I won the lottery,
Daidle deedle daidle
Daidle daidle deedle daidle dum
All day long I'd biddy-biddy-bum
Counting all my winnings.
I wouldn't have to work hard,
Daidle deedle daidle
Daidle daidle deedle daidle dum
If I were a biddy-biddy rich,
Daidle deedle daidle daidle winner.
I'd build a big tall house with rooms by the dozen
Right in the middle of the town,
A fine tin roof with real wooden floors below.
There would be one long staircase just going up
And one even longer coming down,
And one more leading nowhere, just for show.
My library it would be filled with tomes
And first editions nobody can read
Looking as impressive as they can be
And each loud sneeze and hack and cough as we dust
Would land like a trumpet on the ear,
As if to say, "Here lives a wealthy man."
Oy!
If I won the lottery,
Daidle deedle daidle
Daidle daidle deedle daidle dum
All day long I'd biddy-biddy-bum
Counting all my winnings.
I wouldn't have to work hard,
Daidle deedle daidle
Daidle daidle deedle daidle dum
If I were a biddy-biddy rich,
Daidle deedle daidle daidle winner.
I see my bike, my Harley, looking like a winner's bike,
With a proper long front fork,
Ready to ride from Boston to New Orleans.
I hear the throaty roar of exploding gasoline,
Oy! What a happy mood she's in,
Screaming down the pavement day and night.
If I won the lottery,
Daidle deedle daidle
Daidle daidle deedle daidle dum
All day long I'd biddy-biddy-bum
If I held the winning ticket.
I wouldn't have to work hard,
Daidle deedle daidle
Daidle daidle deedle daidle dum
Lord who made the lion and the lamb,
You decreed I should be what I am--
Would it spoil some vast, eternal plan,
If I won the Lot-ter-y!?

Douglas Adams said something about the actual minutes of an event being somewhat lousy- and I find this to be true, although overall the job's pretty good. Some of the middle bits of projects just are booooooooooooooring! :)
