I'm writing to you, as a photo owner who has been featured on Cute Overload, to ax you a question. We're gonna do a 2009 Cute Overload calendar. It's only our second product (after the well-received hamster t-shirt, natch) But back to you: would you consider letting me use your photo in the 2009 calendar? In return, I send you a free calendar, and the satisfaction of being one of tens of thousands of photos chosen...

.... Woah. On the one hand, I'm totally honored. On the other, she gets my work for free, on the other-other, "one of tens of thousands." It's not like I was going into this expecting to profit from taking a totally spontaneous picture. If I disagree, someone else will easily step up and take my spot, Hell, some people would pay dearly to have theirs included, I bet. So I think I'll go for it.

I am pretty zen about her creative spelling choices. I assume she does it for comedic effect, rather than ignorance. You sort of have to be zen if you are a regular at Cute Overload anyway :)

I know this shouldn't be my response, but...

I know some people pronounce it "ax," but I didn't know there were folks out there that thought it was actually spelled that way. oy.

As I said to Supercheesygirl, I'm almost 100% certain this is a case of spelling it wrong on purpose especially given the tone of her site.
