This round's observations whilst in Ohio
The trip here was non-eventful, aside from accidentally taking Nursery Air rather than Contienental. So. Many. Cranky. Kids. But none in my row, or even within 5 rows of me. Without the aid of ear plugs or headphones I slept for most of the hour and a half from Boston to Cleveland. Clearly I was tired.
The present-giving went well. Dad's gift to me is $$ for Coldwater Creek. We go tomorrow. I orchestrated it so that my MiL also gave me a gift cert for CC so it'l be a good haul.
Evening activities included watching Die Hard with the parents, their first experience with that film. It was well liked. My best friend from jr. high is still in the area. We'd not seen each other 1:1 for easily 15 years. At least not meaningfully. I wasn't sure what to expect but we ended up driving around Mentor for about 2 hours sharing deepest darkest secrets and visiting all the old neighborhoods I used to drive in when I was still living out here. Surreal when parts are so different (my elementary school turned into condos, X Y or Z building gone, oh look, Target...) and then other parts surreally the same. Safe to say Gracie and I don't have much in common as such, but we are definitely still good with sharing our lives. Win. Unfortunately, I've now spent most of the day in an uncomfortable seat and my back hates me for it.
Still to come: hopefully visiting with my older Catholic cousins who're in town for Christmas, seeing Amy and Dale.
Note to self: letting the dog sit on you for any amount of time, even when dosed with allergy meds is probably going to cause respritory distress. Like right now. ::hackwheeze::

(They're all good through Friday, so evidently they just want to track whether I bit on the first email, the second, or the third (and doubtless there'll be another tomorrow AM to remind me IT'S THE LAST DAY!) And this is why I have them set to bypass my GMailbox and only search for them when I'm inclined to go... yay GMail!)

Trying stuff on is entirely critical, as something that looks aweseome on the hanger or picture looks so not right on. This, particularly-- http://tinyurl.com/33gcah- Frumpsville. Oh well. :)
