Early January Observation

Tomorrow the temp. will (almost) double from what our predicted warmest temperature will be for today (as opposed to the 3 degrees it currently is, so that's not a challenge to top)- but 16 to 31. And still below freezing. Bora Bora, anyone? South of France? Morocco?
And ironic side note, my motorcycle registration (all bike registrations come due Dec 31) arrived yesterday. Thanks for the reminder I won't be needing this for another few months. Fnar.

According to Weather Underground, Marseille is currently 12C, and Nice is a mere 9C. I'm afraid the Riviera isn't going to do it for you.

Casablanca is all the way up to 15C, but if you go all the way south to Marrakech, you'll get up to 19C, which is just about what most of us think of as "room temperature".

Most of Fiji is around 25C, which may be more along the lines you're thinking of. The lines of which you are thinking. Whatever.

I appreciate your enabling! Ok. No Marseille or Nice yet. Damn! How about southern Italy? Probably won't be better. Hm. I could do Jamaica for more pedestrian escapism, too. I hear St. Kitt's is nice this time of year, and less commercial.

Forecast for Palermo, Italy (on the northern shore of Sicily) for tomorrow is light rain in the morning, high of 61.

As for Jamaica, in Kingston it's 82 (and feels like 96) as I write this. The forecast for tomorrow is scatter showers and 79.

I can't find a weather report for Bora Bora itself, but Tahiti is expecting a high of 84 tomorrow with partly cloudy skies.

Tomorrow the temperature will be a mere 45F... where I'll be. Not quite Bora Bora but better than 7F.
