Indigo Girls  and Brandi Carlile are playing at the Lowell Summer Music Series. Girls on July 11 and Brandi on August 1.
Tickets online are 28 for both. Looks to be an oustide/no assigned seating arrangement. Ya'll are on your own for ticket wrangling.

The Lowell Summer Music Series is held in a beautiful outside amphitheater in Boarding House Park. It's right in front of the canal and Boott Mills. The park is the former site of the rows of boardinghouses for the girls who worked in the mill.

The houses were perpendicular to the mill and sat on a slight incline, so they stepped down the closer they got to the canal. There is one boardinghouse left next to the amphitheater, so you'll see what I mean. When you visit the park, imagine it as a nasty parking lot, since that's what it was in the 1980s.

heh. Given what I know of Lowell of yesteryear vs. what I know they're trying to do, it won't take much imagination at all :)

Boardinghouse Park is an outdoor no-seats venue. If you want to sit on something other than the grass, you have to bring your own blanket or chair. Tall chairs are not allowed in front.
