Phone calls I dread
Dad left me vmail at 9 this morning. I got it whenever it was that we left for the diner for breakfast pre grocery shopping.
Mom's in the hospital with diverticulitis and has been since last night. It's apparently a relatively mild case- they almost sent her home with meds, but she opted to stay in and will be until probably tomorrow. I've since talked to Mom and lizard brain now believes that perhaps everything really will be OK. They've given her a CAT scan and they put her on morphine. She didn't get my tabby joke wrt CAT, so we know she's out of it.
I'm about to head to the EOS party for a few hours, but I don't think I'll stay long. I don't want to be crowded into a hot, humid house with a few hundred other people. So hopefully I can find a less busy corner outside and see some folks. If you read this first, I don't necessarily want hugs as that would require touching.
Being hours away on days like this = not. good.
W/ luck, both parents will visit for Columbus Day weekend. Focus on the positive. n stuff.
