With the weather and season being what it is, my instinct is too cook. A lot: chili, apple sauce, curry, banana bread, apples prepped for pie. That was all yesterday afternoon. I'm not sure why I couldn't leave something for today to do, but there it is. I had hoped to come up with a crock-potted dish to bring to a small gathering, but I was keen on it not being tomato or bean based. I failed. The 365 crock pot blog provided exactly no inspiration. Oh well.

So, this is the last week of my online class for teaching online classes (yep, it's still very meta). I mistakenly did this week's homework last week. After reading the instructions, I think that what I did is still valid for now. I may have to flesh it out some, but  ... eh. I'm bored now. The intended audience is formally trained educators in a formal academic setting. Not someone who happens to teach as part of something else and usually in a one-off scenario, not semester-based. I also haven't worked out all the details on how I want to do my future class, particularly the software/platform. That makes a big difference. Nevertheless, I think I did get bits of knowledge that will make my future class(es) better. Structure and theory.

Ooh. There's an idea--if I'm stuck at home because of rain, I might as well do some simmery type thing, like chicken stock. Maybe chili.
Thanks!

Not really, I just throw some stuff in the slow cooker. Sometimes I'll add a spicy sausage or kielbasa if I want it to be saltier/meatier, but mostly I make it vegetarian: Some potatoes, some barley, onion, celery, garlic, some spices - always bay, but sometimes other stuff. I use a veggie or chicken broth to cook it in, with a bit of sherry or red wine.

You can google recipes easily enough. Most of my inspiration comes from online cooking blogs.

Hm, cooking. That's a splendid idea. I'll go make some chicken noodle soup and some meatloaf.
