A Tuesday masquerading as a Monday
Yesterday's day off was quite nice. I spent most of it listening to The Graveyard Book, read by author Neil Gaiman. There's video, too, but I find I really don't look much- he's not performing tricks or anything- just reading from the page. So, I filled in the body of a green dragon whilst thusly entertained. Like previous occasions, I'm having a devil of a time determining what the best background colors would be for a green/silver dragon would be (with purple and blue highlights). The opposite side of the color wheel is red, but I've done a of red recently, and would very much like to figure something else out.
The coffee cake that I made per request really is just yellow cake with streusel. An excuse to have cake in the morning? Well, OK. I didn't use all the streusel, so I guess I'll have to make more soon. Woe!
Gym: Can't wait for my old gym to be opened again. With the influx of Women's Fitness folk like me, it's downright crowded. It also takes a great deal of energy to not tell those guys they're lifing the weights wrong and that they're likely to hurt their backs sooner rather than later. Not all guys, but every time I walk into the weight room side there's at least one. It was my first time on an elliptical in several weeks (I'd been rowing and biking mostly)- yikes. One loses ground very quickly. When we do go back, I think the FitCorp refugee members will get a bit chattier with each other. I've had a few conversations with women I'd seen every week but not said hi to til now.
Oh- and- looks like whatever was bugging me on Sunday was probably allergies. I'm feeling fine now. Yay!
