Cancun Pictures

I've just up-loaded the Cancun pictures and added some annotation. Some have the link to the map, so you can see where the resort was vs. Chichen-Itza and so on.

Also- just listened to Obama's first weekly address. I'm still getting used to voluntarily listening to our (future) leader speak for more than 10 seconds. I'm pleased and impressed that he doesn't have to be convinced to use the InterWebs. "We're mass communicatin'!" (that was from O Brother Where Art Thou in case it was too obscure)

Also- I plan on going to Diesel on Tuesday.

I wish I wasn't impressed that we now have a president who can verbally communicate clearly and succinctly. I was going to qualify that statement with "over the internet" or "verbally" or something, but when I got to "at all," I realized that I'm just glad we'll have a president who can COMMUNICATE AT ALL. I mean, damn. Bush The First was bad enough with "wouldn't be prudent" and his weird little muttered catchphrases, but Bush II was just bizarre and awful and embarrassing every time he stood up behind a podium and opened his mouth. Obama, man. If nothing else, the man knows how to speak.

I really like the fireside chat format. I also like the sheer populist pandering of dropping them on YouTube. That guarantees he'll be heard all over the place. Heck, even web sites that DON'T like him will be linking to his addresses in order to write about how they suck, and that means more people will be hearing them!

Plus he's sooooooo dreamy. *swoon*

yeah- and now my toes are cold. :) Ain't that the way? My allergies were mostly under control the whole time- reminded me of what you said about being on the water.
