The way I found out about Columbia was a friend from DC calling me to say that NASA "lost" the space shuttle.
Uh... lost? That made me wonder if it had wandered off into space- if NASA had let go of the leash in the park or let it go to the mall or department store without explicit instructions on where to meet after.
Anyway. It didn't get lost. We knew where it was the whole time.
