Hm. I seem to be remarkably not tired.  This could be problematic soon. Hopefully blathering into cyberspace will make me chill out. At least I'm awake for good reasons- I'm very pleased with how most of the past few days has gone.

Yesterday I did a major swipe at sorting the basement. It looks much better and just in time- the basement had more water in today- no surprise. But it didn't get onto anything of import.
I also had a chance to see [livejournal.com profile] woodwardiocom  yesterday as well. We really haven't been seeing enough of each other. If anyone was worried, I can assure you all that Rudy's queso is still very tasty. I could sense your concern.

Since I've mostly been unstructured this vacation, I was able to go out to Lowell and see [livejournal.com profile] lizzielizzie  today and buy some lush beads (and I should have picked up some more matte black bugles, but oh well) - I love hanging with her. This time I was smart and brought all my supply with me so I could indulge in immediate sorting once I got the new stuff.  You really can't do that at AC Moore.   I need to take  more pictures of what I've made since I last posted jewelry pictures. My brain is now convinced I need a live model to show them off properly. Or get one of my photographer friends to take pictures of me wearing my stuff. Of course I want to do this NOW. sheesh.
While crafting, I managed to watch Harry Potter 3 and 5. I skipped 4 because I feel like I've seen that one most and I just didn't care enough to see it again right now. With that task done, I can now go see 6. Yay! Only 2 more weeks.
[profile] purple_terror  made duck tonight, which was quite good. The sauteed spinach? Raging failure. It had been in the freezer for a while. Oh well. Can't win 'em all. I have continued on my parfait passion. I had been true to the vanilla/fudge/peanut variety until today. This time chocolate and peanut butter with some fudge and peanuts. I found big craft popsicle sticks yesterday stashed in the basement. Surprisingly so much better when one has a superior handle. There's a lesson in there... p_t says he's more fond of the chocolate kind. I think I can't choose favorites.

p_t and I are headed to Maine for the holiday. There's never much of a plan for these trips beyond hanging out and a cookout. That's happening, so anything else is gravy. There will be more crafting, though, as I'm compulsive that way. Sadly, [profile] quiet_elegance  is in union school this week and is foregoing travel. But, it's a major turning point: the beginning of being a 3A, the last levels before journeyman. Since he had to finagle missing the last round of school in April, there was no way he was missing this one. Oh well. He will be missed. Their aim is getting better, though.

Oh! And on the work front- we have our web site back. It was only down for most of the week. Oy. The company in question doesn't have live customer support. It all boiled down to giving them money to maintain our primary domain. R. says I'm not allowed to go on vacation anymore. Without her being gone, too. Poor chica. But it's back. Pity it had to happen at all, but really not during this major tipping point of people taking notice of what we have on it.

Hm. Maybe now with the sleeping?

Speaking solely as a consumer, I find pictures of jewelry to be better on backgrounds than on models. There's not a good way to make the composition good on a live model without focusing on the model instead of the piece. So then you need two images, one of the model wearing the jewelry, and another close-up of just the jewelry.

Also, I think I would like to commission you for some Ginger Snap jewelry, if you're amenable. Coppers & Golds.

Wish I'd seen this earlier

It would've been fun to ride. Instead I napped in the sun, which seems like a terribly decadent thing to do but dammit sun! Nappage!
