The Paul and Storm / Jonathan Coulton show last night was as fantastic as one would expect. The only thing I could have wished for, besides having a bit more elbow room in the seating arrangements, was that the hecklers dial it back from 11 to 8 on the dial. Just a bitsy. We heard Nun Fight, Nugget Man, and the Pirate Song from P&S, and all the big favorites from JoCo- with major assists from P&S for about 1/3 of his set.

I mentioned in passing Moby- but not any details. It was at the House of Blues, which is surreal since on the inside it really does still have glimmers of Avalon/Axis, which is what it took over. The doors opened at 7, the opening act started at 8, the main show at 9. Nothing unusual there, except that we were all standing on concrete and no option of sitting anywhere. I'm going back to see Brandi Carlile this Friday- I will be planning not to be in the building until 8, since we showed up close to 6:30 this last time, and got to stand around outside first.
Anyway- once the actual show started, it was worth it. Moby played a lot of his old favorites from the Play album, which is what we all know and love best. We actually made it all the way to the end of the set, then decided that was close enough despite the likelihood of an encoure.

Now I hear from a few very reliable sources that Never After is worth seeing. I bought the ticket to support the troupe, but more than half expecting to lame out. Now... hmph. I hear I'd really regret being lame, so I guess I'll see some of you in a few hours. If anyone's on the fence about it- do come out, too. It'd be nice if they did more than barely break even on this.

Yeah, I hate standing-only venues where there's no sitting option. I had to leave a Michelle Shocked show early because I really needed to sit, but they wouldn't let me sit on the floor.
