Proactive, dammit [health]

quiet_elegance  had been down with his usual cough-his-lungs-up thing he tends to get every 6 months or so. Then I started to feel awful on Wednesday and the coughing started last night. We leave Thursday night for our big trip and I don't have the luxury of wait and seeing if it goes away. The whole q_e not getting better w/out intervention was my tipping point.
I now have antibiotics and cough syrup with coedine. My contagion is via the coughing so the only one in danger is the one who has his own antibiotics in his system. I am glad I listened to my sensible grown up voice and that I also stayed home from work yesterday (today's vacation day).
