Hm.
I don't think it was a very restful weekend. In the end, I feel most of the contention was resolved, but there went the weekend.
Friday-
Good: Got out of work early- had a very good lunch with Mike and (coworker)Robin, then was told go home by the boss- Mike drove me home
Bad: Matt's ex-boss has decided now is the time to finish old business. Old business = expensive for us.
Saturday-
Good: time spent with friends, despite elements trying very hard to keep gathering from happening
Good: IRS says we overpaid our taxes by lots a few years ago- windfall means we can deal with ex-boss, have a bit of fun and rebuild our savings (WOO!)
Bad: second social gathering of the day was very stressful for Matt and the neighbors' party upstairs degenerated to fighting outside = couldn't leave for a while and a bit nerve-wracking when we did go, but none to be seen after all. (whew)
Sunday:
Good:
purple_terror's friend, Robin, came over for steak and creme brule
bad: bad communication meant that the house was a mass of storm clouds all bloody day and it took Matt til almost dinnertime for him to say what was wrong: he needed more of my attention.
Yeah. I've been way busy of late. December was busy with holidays, then January was FFF and Arisia and web design classes. . . and I've been making an effort to see more folk that I haven't for a while.
Then Matt quit smoking and stress levels are naturally higher. Duh. Hindsight, once again, 20/20.
So, I'm not planning on doing the reactionary nix all plans made, but I will be a lot more careful in how much I plan for the coming weeks. And maybe I'll be told of needs before it's an emergency. (Gawd, I hope so)
Now, all I need is 10 more hours of sleep!
But, I'm going to dance class with
mzkero tonight, so that should even out the rest of the bumps :)
