Gettin' on, making progress

Rambles, mostly for my own edification, however I'm to lazy to edit for other people's easier reading. (nyah?)

All Dead Muppet stuff is now at Swan. I guess this temporary lull for quiet_elegance  on the job front (another snag at the old folks' home means no work this week. God, I how I am not fond of this particular {lack of} management system) So, he could pull the last stuff from the garage. I think he said some minor lawn maintenance and some random garden stuff, but other than that, it's done.
purple_terror  noted that they're doing 2-tone paint in the house. Now they break out the fancy shit? Whatever, says I. Won't change the fact that the landlords let the gutters rip off and that the insulation is non-existent. q_e said they also took down the Shaker pegs he put up in the front hall. Maybe to paint, but seemed like they weren't going back in. That's dumb. They were great and useful pegs.

Swan is really coming along. The displaced linen press- thingie we'd been using for towels at DMH has finally been shifted from Swan kitchen to communal 2nd floor office(baby) space. p_t suggested it would be a reasonable notion for a changing table. Maybe? Not a bad idea. Certainly very good for the time-being. It also provides space to store the towels and/or sheets again. p_t put the remainder of the booze in reasonable locations, so that leaves approx. 2-3 boxes of kitchen stuff and 3 boxes of cookbooks.

There's a Quiet Elegance original Mission table- apparently meant to be a coffee bar back in the day (11ish years ago) and has not served that function for at least 9 1/2- back in the kitchen again, soaking up some oil, and conveniently next to a set of plugs. Methinks it'll be a coffee bar again before the week is out.

Anyway- the point is that everything that's supposed to be in our current basement is there.  I am NOT going into the basement for a few days. It has been suggested I bump that up to "weeks." We shall see.
