quiet_elegance and I went to meet Dr D. B. in Davis Sq Family Practice last night. We really like her and plan on using her for sprog's doc. I am almost certainly going to join up, too, since my (wonderful) doctor is out in the bus hinterlands.
For those who go there, do you have anything further to day about the practice? We didn't meet anyone else there, and we expect that inevitably we'll see other medical staff besides DB. Thoughts?
I've seen several doctors there although quite a few years ago now. They all seemed reasonable and competent although one older guy did try and (as well as appropriate actual medical treatment) try and give me homoeopathic pills.
I've been going to DSFP for about 20 years now, and have been very happy with the various medical staff (doctors, NPs, PAs, etc) I've seen over the years.
Lately I've usually seen Marie, who I like very much; on my last visit I saw Dr. Tanur instead (since it was a "squeeze you in today" situation) and got a good impression of her as well.
(Dr. B still asks how I'm doing when she sees me come in; I like that.)
I'm used to the wait these days, but the thing to do is ask when you check in how far behind they are running. They'll let you know if there is time to run and grab a coffee or something food or whatever you need.
We've been going there for 6 years. I adore them as a whole!
I like 'em as well, and they're not in the HV network as far as I know. I've met three of the practitioners who work there (2 docs and a nurse, I think that's all of 'em), and like them all. Furthermore, the office staff seem to be very nice as well, which is a marked feature compared to many practices I've been with.
Considering how complicated the other doctor's office made the upcoming visit seem, having the reverse, where it was not treated like the biggest deal evar put me in a great frame of mind to meet them
