Ok, rocking baby chair to lull the child, who's been WAY too alert most of the morning now.

Let's see.
  • This week I've been doing the solo day thing. I think it's Thursday.
  • We got our interwebs back on Tuesday, a day early.
  1. I feed the child
  2. I change the child
  3. I snuggle the child
  • I take naps sometimes, but like now, I sometimes just want to finish a thought or something without having to consider if points 1-3 need attending to
  • I test my limits and find them limiting. Yesterday's was to see if I could walk up and down the stairs with the child without it being problematic. Mmm, not quite. Today was to make myself breakfast while carrying the baby in a sling. Mmmm- that was pushing it hard.
  • However, I'm also not taking pain killers every 4 hours now, so that's good. Only when I really feel I need them. This means I can tell when I hit my limit a bit easier.
  • There's laundry and dishes
  • I have had visitors. I am expecting some visitors. These are nice things. I find that I run out of steam by 7 for polite conversation, but most of my friends work. Problematic.
Food containers: I have [livejournal.com profile] doeeyedbunny, [livejournal.com profile] vika, and [livejournal.com profile] 42itous's containers washed and ready to go back.
  • Nevertheless, I seem to have had some busy days
  • There's a nice lady who just took a box of tins off my front porch that she's going to paint. Now if only we can manage to catch recycling day (every other week), we won't look like hillbilly rednecks so very much.
  • Sleep. Yeah, I sleep in 2 hour increments from approx. 9-9, depending. Sometimes I go to bed later than that: not last night. I feel like I'm doing pretty well, considering. I'm capable of waking up and falling back asleep without a huge problem.
  • Social Media- I feel like I'm about as caught up from the weekend internet blackout as I'm going to get. However, don't assume I know what's going on Out There in the world: either in people's lives or in the greater world, so offer me a line of exposition of "did you know..." before you launch into commentary about Stuff.  I'm VERY interested to hear what you're up to when we talk, whenever that may be.
  • Emails- I can deal with short emails, but walls of words make my brain shut off. FYI.
  • There's the EOS party on Saturday. I've been told the weather will be not rainy. I'm planning on being there early-ish, with babe. I think I may have to adopt a hands off policy for this party- so many people. I am not willing to deal with other people's germs on that level. There may be a few exceptions, but PLEASE do not touch the baby without asking.
OK. I am doing my own wall of words, so going to stop now.

One does not have to be ensconced in one's home as a solo parent for most of the day to be unsure of the day of the week. I had to check myself.

Still planning to come by tonight, and you don't have to entertain me with words. Happy to help with dishes and/or laundry. :)

YAY YOU on both pushing yourself and not doing it too too hard!

Glad you're getting on and getting better.

Unless the universe intervenes again I think I'm going to Diesel next Tuesday. Shall I stop off beforehand for a mini-chat? More food can be brought if appropriate.
