3 weeks, 2 days: I know Kung Fu
We are making a lot of progress these days.
mzkero has loaned me a pram, so Crime Fighter and I trundled up to Isis for the breast feeding drop in group, which amounts to a room full of n00bs and their n00b moms asking questions about their kid's eating habits. They also have a scale to weigh the sprogs. CF is over 10 lbs already (was 8lb3oz at his last doctor appt)- and so clearly he's making great headway.
Rehab for me means not walking up and down the stairs with the kid until I'm ready. Well, I can manage it as long as it's not a constant up and down thing now. I've spent the weeks since coming home on the couch and I have known that the transition to normal/upstairs sleeping would mean a few tough nights until I could get used to the new noises and all. Saturday was the first night and it was flat out crazy-hard.
Last night we had spazz-o-clock at 9, right after
Yesterday there was some serious eye contact, recognition and proto-smiles. After some alert time today and an 8:00-something feeding and more alert time, he's crashed out and sort of snoring :)
Now that we're at 3 weeks, it's time to work on having a bottle from time to time to prep for post 3 month/Mom at work and letting QE be AOD without my interferance.
In this week's new news: my aunt Carol's in town this week and keen on spending time with me. I'm all over that. I've not had many chances to have 1:1 time with Carol. She's usually in and around with my parents or her boyfriend, etc. She's the youngest of dad's sisters and took care of Grammy during the Long Goodbye.
As it turns out, today's the 1 year anniversary of Grammy's death. We miss her in every respect and hope she's at peace.
I leave you with slightly less than a minute of me commentating Crime Fighter's morning video.

getting you back into your own bed is excellent news. I'm glad it worked out last night.

I loved some of the breast feeding groups I went to. It was nice to see others dealing with some of the same issues I was.
I don't know if you need or want either of these, but I'll bring them to the meeting tomorrow in case you do.
Two different baby tubs, easy to store, (one squishes very small, the other gets very flat.) Lexicon has graduated to splashing in the regular tub.

And a baby bath in the basement, so all set there. Thanks!
