Ok. I feel a little better.
Audience: "What was that all about, Monkey Girl?"
Monkey Girl: "My new boss just emailed me out of the blue asking me to help her answer a woman's question about church records/preservation/what to keep!! I feel so loved!!!"
Yeah. New Fearless Leader dropped me a line right when I was wondering if I'd ever remember to be proactive about contacting her and also wondering if the board members are actually alive. The 3 I've tried to find re: getting the Librarian #2 (2nd in command) job desc with my rewrites is acceptable to be posted. There was enough changed that it needs an official nod.
Old Fearless Leader and I got through more discards- we are now at mid-T. I looked down the range, and there was a uniformity there. All the same bottom shelves that we've done are now empty. Spooky? Sorta.
OFL also had a mini-conference with me regarding our dear Robin, who seems to have needed a gentle kick to get phase boxing done. I had been prodding her about that, but she was blithely ignoring me. I sympathize. Phase boxing is dull no two ways around it. I feel badly that she needed a reminder on high, but I'm also so not surprised.
OFL also suggested some display ideas, which I should get started on today. Fleh. I dislike the beginning process of displays, mostly because I don't feel very inspired by the collection. Ah well.
How was the weekend? Fine. Long. Good bits. Bad Bits. Don't feel like writing about that.
