Leveling Up, Year 1

Sunday Crime Fighter waved goodbye when purple_terror's mom and sister left- that was a first! He has repeated that action again today when PT left for work. 
He is also really saying Ma and Da words purposefully when trying to get our attention 
There was a closed 12 pack of coke cans at almost floor level. He got it on the floor and stood on it to get at something taller.
PT's futon and Daddy's chair are two mountains that must be scaled. Chair achievement was unlocked at least once yesterday, but could not be replicated. I did not show him what he needed to do. We do not give the inmates keys to the asylum. 
Oh- and for a few moments he managed "gentle hands" this morning. Not replicated this evening. 
He has 2 pre-molars up top and probably not unrelated, Self-weaning continues. (That makes 10 teeth, btw)

Amazing kid. And I get all Wednesday off to properly celebrate one year.

I've been wondering when he might allocate some energy budget to that as he seems so dedicated to all the physical ever.

Indeed. Words seem less important than moving.

We kind of got to see it both ways - K was about average in size and was an early talker. But he wasn't that physically adventurous and didn't spend a lot of energy on crawling and exploring. He was just content to sit and look around. L, by contrast, was big and developed lots of physical skills early on. His first words came later.

Of course, after the first couple years these early thing even out so much it's a conscious effort to remember there ever was such a difference.
