Welcome in, New Year.
Hiya,
Here we are, another year. I need a new paper calendar for work. One that's not filled with pretty, partially clad ladies. I have a Lee Moyer Check These Out calendar at home, you see. I could use it til maybe May when the ode to Kushiel's Dart is featured. I won't get into how things degenerate in December. I am back at work as of today for the first time since the Solstice. I will admit I am a creature of habit and it's not all bad having the office routine return. I say this now. I did a lot of me-maintenance stuff this morning figuring the work maintenance stuff is always there and won't ever go away, so what's the rush on that.
Part of that was prepping last year's LJ for download. I use LJBook, which is imperfect in some respects. It doesn't capture icons, which is a great sadness to me, as I usually use them as a signifier of the topic of the post. But still. I'd rather an imperfect capturing agent than none at all. So, in skimming over the resulting PDF shows a whole ton of baby-centric posts. Duh? Yeah, pretty much. I try not to talk just about him, but clearly he's pretty noteworthy. His rate of change is a little bit more emphatic than mine. Thank god. I'm feeling pleased I got that capture done so early in the year. I didn't get around to it til April this last time. Maybe this is the year I print and bind the last many years' worth of writing. Craaazy talk.
Anyway. Hi, everyone. I like you. I hope I

Anyway. Hi, everyone. I like you. I hope I
- can see many more of you more often this year
- find a new place to live without too much stress and in time that is as good if not remarkably better than this pretty good house
- actually get to Ohio to see my friends and family this summer
- find more moments where I can just be in the moment. (Not a new hope, but an ongoing one.)
- make good art
- read more books
- find ways to feel more healthy and moving
- slouch less
