I cannot do homework (for my one day class on digital forensics, gods help me) reading in the evening. I fall directly asleep. Better to hit it early in the morning when riding high on the first caffeine buzz. I couldn't read 2 paragraphs last night, and I blew through 6 1/2 pages on the ride in this morning.

At least I remembered from full time student days that I can't read a huge block of homework reading (vs fun reading) in a single go. I have to break it up over several days. Especially if it's extremely technical and very new to me. I end up having to read all paragraphs at least 3 times and take notes. I'm glad that this assignment has super-wide margins.

I may have failed entirely at reading last night, but at least I downloaded the software I need on my laptop. (OMG, don't forget your laptop on Thursday!!)

An interesting fact about brains

Your memory (recall) will be better if your brain is in the same state it was when you originally studied the material. Thus, caffienating before class - especially for tests - may be a significant advantage if that's the state you're in for studying.
