The cardigan is dead, long live the shrug!

This is the 4th in the series of "let's make small sweaters:" this was the solution to the cardigan that entirely didn't work. This? This works.


asciikitty and me: at friends' wedding a few weeks ago, both of us wearing our hand-knit, mine being the first of the set.

2 is black and maroon (TNG command colors, really). 3 is a verigated russet, for asciikitty and primarily lace-work. Both will be documented soon enough, just not now.

(I only wish your photos were bigger, or clickable to a bigger version, so I could see your handiwork better. Especially the wedding photo, since I saw the more recent sweater almost finished.)

Hey, they usually are. Sad! They changed something. I'll have to investigate further for future posts and next time we're in the same place hopefully I can just *show* you the handiwork.

I still have jeans to give you. I forgot entirely on Sunday.

Yeah, LJ has been messing with my photo sizes in unpredictable ways lately. I define a size (usually somewhere around height="500") and it shows up HUGE in my preview but then presumably uses my definition when it actually posts, because I haven't been getting any complaints.

My picture from the wedding was more marking the event and the whole outfit and being with asciikitty than showing of the crafty, so definitely need to reshoot for the purpose of documenting the work.

My current plan is to do a photo shoot specifically to show the work sometime in the nebulous future. It seems likely I will not lame out on it, as I am extremely proud of all the work I've done and the fleet of new skills I've been employing of late. And I am keen on documenting.

I have an account on Rav, but do not actively participate at all. I tried, but haven't gotten purchase there given how much energy I spend on other social sites.
