What a nice day!
- The Crime Fighter and I went to a friend's birthday party. He got entirely grubby and ate too much sugar. So you know, perfect. I got him home not a minute too soon for a nap.
- I worked on the t-shirt rug while he napped and (re)watched my Lizzie Bennett Diaries DVDs
- Once up, he and
asciikitty visited friends at a playground and I was free to do... ? - As it turns out, free to go down to Spy Pond with my comic book and a beverage (fizzy citrus with tapioca bubbles... because I can). It really was idyllic. I got to be on a bench in the shade and looked a bit at the water and read early Sandman. Weirdly, despite having a complete set and it being well over 20 years old, I haven't read it all yet!
- More work on the rug 'pon my return
- Dinner not-made-by-me (farro/lamb meatballs/kale cooked in chicken broth). Hopefully asciikitty will do that again soon
- Niece broke up with her girlfriend(s). Good move.
- Post kid-bedtime, watched Doctor Who with QE

Re: Rug- I got the biggest crochet hook I could find-- One could do it by hand, I suppose, or braid and sew. All by hand is a bit wearing, I think, and I'm not fond of sewing, so here I am! It's my first go, so it took some time to sort it all out. If I'd do it over, I'd have thicker strands or do a very loose crochet with the thing strand and crochet again. That latter is what I have been doing for the last several rows and I love the texture. Pictures eventually...
