I just signed up to help with a Bake Sale for Democracy run by MoveOn PAC.
It's a fun way to raise money to support the effort to Take Back the White House while sending a message that this is a grassroots effort, not a high-rolling campaign.

We're aiming for the world's largest bake sale, with hundreds of events across the country. You can sign up to help with the sale I'm working on, or to hold your own, at:

You can organize your own bake sale and recruit your friends to help. You can also sign up to bake something and bring it to a sale near you, or just sign up to come by and help out. While we're out selling cookies we'll also be registering voters and passing out flyers on John Kerry's positions and
accomplishments.

I don't know yet- no email back from the coordinator. However, given it starts at 4, I bet they'll be around for more than an hour. Unless they sell out. When in doubt, call to my house.

It's this Saturday. If you want to drop off a contribution at my house, I'm happy to ferry it over when I go. I don't know much about the specifics of where exactly they're meeting or how much in advance of 4 it'll be.
