So yesterday went well. Lots of sitting and waiting, then a whole lot of sleeping, then home! [livejournal.com profile] lifecollage did her duty with grace and love.... Some 17 + years ago, I took her to the hospital for a procedure when we were both solo in the city- a big deal and because she is she was gleeful at being able to bring that karma back. I am happy, too.

Mom arrived Monday night, so she and [livejournal.com profile] asciikitty got the kid to school. Poor QE had to drop me off and continue to work, so was hanging doors and biting his nails, rather than driving them.

So, what did they do?

-straightened my septum
-took out the polyps
-removed the foreign object that appears to have been in there since I was a toddler.
No I have no memory of doing this.
I have ALWAYS snored. Always. Could startle my own grandfather at the age of 5 with my talent. Nobody, self included, ever thought to say to doctors: "What the hell is up with that?" ... I mean, until this spring when I was at the end of my rope with how poorly I was sleeping.
So, when [livejournal.com profile] asciikitty got up at 4:30 this morning for a moment, she had to walk all the way down the hall to make sure I was still breathing. Because I was so quiet. .... whaa? And this is with bits of plastic shoved up my nose to keep my septum straight.

So, what was it??

No idea. I have a picture of it in situ, but it's pretty nasty in that state. After they clean it off, I'm not sure there'll be much left to determine what it was. I have asked for a report back and hopefully that got passed down to the lab techs. I sincerely doubt there'll be any structural integrity so can't get it back, I don't think. I am hoping for a second picture.
If anyone wants to see the in situ picture, let me know and it may be a nice excuse to be social. I'm NOT posting it, because gross.

Now what?
Chill. I have the rest of the week off. Therapy and follow up with my ENT tomorrow. Mom's here til Sunday.

Honestly? I'd love to see the pictures. No worries about grossing me out or TMI. I dealt with stuff like that for a living once a upon a time.

Now, as for time for being social, well...how does your August look?

How are you feeling? I hope they gave you the good drugs.

If there's anything you need (weird flavors of ice cream??), let me know. :)

HUGS and light to you dear Lady. Hope you recover soon and with no complications. I have a morbid curiosity about the UFO but I think I could deal with just knowing what they figure out after the fact. Let me know when and when you have time. I think we are overdue for sushi and sake. Might I be right?

I'm very happy to hear you're doing well, and terribly curious to learn The Thing's identity, and moderately curious to see pictures.

:-)
