LJ is dead, long live Dreamwidth.

I don't go back to LJ, I don't cross post. So, I cleaned up my subscription/circle page and cleared out all the old LJ handles. It was easy and yet a bit bittersweet. Maybe I'm old- I don't remember who every single person was. Data has been overwritten with new information. Or something.

So, good morning, friends. Welcome to Monday. This is me, imperfectly participating more, hoping my journaling muscle tone comes back.

I cleaned a few when I moved. But I feel badly because I sometimes see people commenting on others' posts and go "oh man I forgot to add them."

I cross-post music things because I'm still at loggerheads with DW over maximum allowable tags. :(

I don't think there was a reciprocal connection to any LJ names anymore, so I felt like a clean sweep was OK. ::shrug:: I definitely don't have a full complement of folks from The Before Times. I'm hoping if I participate more, the threads will re-weave themselves.

I'm still crossposting, in part because some people I care about haven't made DW accounts/set up their OpenID accounts. Still might make the jump, or at least turn off auto-crossposting.

My LJ account is Officially Dead, but I haven't had the heart to wipe out all the friended people listed there -- partially because overall I've got a pretty solid memory of LJ names -> real names (though not always the other way around), partly because I. Hm. Nostalgia? I dunno, maybe I should go through and do that, too.
