my neighbor rocks
For a while there, I thought I'd have half a day of work: The Boss called last night to say that the library'd open at noon "that should give you enough time to shovel yourself out," he says.
mmmmmmmmmm. Yeah. Right. At 8am he calls to say "forget it"... Yay! 4 day weekend!!
We were expecting to spend several hours clearing our driveway only to find our across the street neighbor had cleared most of it with his snow blower. I gave him some of the cookies I made a few days ago. :)
Although I must say: we're running out of room to put all the snow. Matt commented that he'd always wanted a privacy fence, but this was ridiculous. The mounds around the autos that are kept pretty much on the back yard lawn for lack of better place, have snow up to the Jetta's hood and then some. The poor bikes that were supposed to be put into storage, but then got buried at xmas and never dug out- well, they're motorcycle-shaped snow mounds. I am somewhat fearful that the snow piles in our front yard next to the side walk will turn into an avalanche given the fault lines that have formed....

Re: Sneaky Ohio People
Yeah, we survived... it acts like it's almost raining now. Schizophrenic weather, I swear to god.
No worse than crossing the Lake County line, though and going from sunny to rain in a minute. Hope all's well in your neck of the woods
