I was at a really crappy low spot on Friday. I was bummed to be stuck at work and at the mercies of inconsistant hormone levels (This is the first time in 11 years that I've not been on BC pills.)
The trip to [livejournal.com profile] purple_terror's folks' house was good. They're a good group of people. There was lounging, reading, eating, and story swapping. We only stayed til Sunday morning, then got VERY lucky in the return trip: no traffic to speak of. The guys and I went to see Dodgeball that night. Very dorky-funny. "Nobody makes me bleed my own blood. Nobody!" Alan Tudyk of Firefly fame was in it, so that was a bonus.
Monday I went with [livejournal.com profile] caulay and [livejournal.com profile] ahf to look at houses on the North Shore (EDIT): for them. There were some decent options, but nothing to enirely fall in love with. That took a good part of the day. I spent most of the rest of the day in the kitchen. Now I have apple piiiie.
Robin and Norman have returned from vacation, I rode my bike to work to Alewife and so far (knock no wood) don't hurt! I'm almost feeling productive and at least I don't have to run down stairs every few moments, or even stay there all day, so balance of some sort has returned to my everyday life. Yay!

There are usually houses in our neighborhood for sale (it's a good neighborhood, too), so if they're looking in the 600-700K range, I could point them at some places most likely.

Regretfully, we're looking in the $400-450K range.

If we were going that high, we'd probably go for the first one we saw on Monday and make a project out of it.

Yay. Very glad that the weekend improved, and glad I was able to help with a sympathetic (and, for once, undistracted) ear.

My weekend took the reverse course of yours: excellent at the beginning to mildly crappy on Monday. But, better now, and the apartment re-apportioning is moving forward apace. Yayness!

The whole long-winded write-up is now available in my journal.

Thank you very much for your company and assistance.
