So....
Got an email from a friend telling me my Ex has checked himself into the psych hospital.
He's always been a depressed person, even before our rollercoaster relationship complicated his psyche.
Nevertheless, it's disconcerting to watch him from a second-hand distance.
I'm glad I've gotten past feeling responsible for his moods. I did for a long time, but at this point, after this many years, it's all him.

Despite all our history, I wish him health and happiness, for whatever that's worth.

Well, I'll be damned. He's finally doing it. I'm glad for him, and for your mutual friend (who must be relieved/happy). I certainly hope it helps him in any way he needs it to.

mizarchivist is being a good friend by not mentioning that I was the friend that e-mailed her, possibly because I hadn't posted about this in my journal. I may yet do so, but this is the first time I have had to do the delicate balance between discretion and candor for my postings, and I will have to think about it some more.
