General Update
On the paycheck side of things...
I've been rather busy with worklike stuff. I'm actually making progress on the previously mention project of our own archived records. There has been much cursing of names and I will be surprised if my Magic Rub(TM) eraser is more than a nubbin by the time I'm done. However, the behemoth series (the Board of Director's of course) is almost caught up to present times- W00t! The Librarian's records are going to be tough to get in the correct order, too- the other series are a lot less involved. looks over to the shelves to do a quick count Yep. I'd say that of the 40 boxes that comprise our personal archive, Board and Librarian make up half of the boxes.
life outside of the office
So, DMH will be headed to New York City tomorrow for the avuncular theatrical experience. This time it's Dames At Sea. I know nothing of this, other than it is musical and humorous and Giles thinks it's awesome (but he would). This is
purple_terror's first expedition with us and he'll be meeting more of my family, so... woooo! With luck, we'll find some of our NYC buddies along the way.
Last Sunday I went to see the LOTR exhibit at the Museum of Science. It was fantastic. Everyone should go. If only our crew could have had the place to ourselves for our time. It was crowded, but not unbearable.
I had fun catching up with
beowabbit and
docorion last night and eating very very tasty dimsum.
quiet_elegance is extremely busy with work, but at least he likes what he's doing, has a good crew and mostly humans in charge. Although it does amuse me to no end that he refers to his (very italian) boss as Il Duce.
Next week Jenn from DC will be visiting. She's not been up to Boston for many houses now. She missed West Roxbury altogether.. ok. Well, hey. Maybe "miss" is too strong a word, eh? I'm expecting that to be a very low-key visit. She feels exactly no need to do tourist stuff anymore.
I'm definitely suffering as many have from "where the hell did [name month here] go?!" August was a blur and September is acting the same way.
