great day to play hooky with dad
I slept in some, took a bike ride, morning ablutions, then 'round noonish wandered off to Harvard to do our traditional hang out.
You see, Dad and my fake uncle Curt when both lived in the city- and were usually pretty poor- would spend hours perfecting their hangout technique. This tradition passed from father to daughter at an early age and is one of the things I look forward to most when we are in the same place. Mind you, we did go shop, but we had no plan and that was the whole point.
Highlights:
many awesome titles at the Harvard Coop to add to the reading list
fresh rosemary bread with turkey, mayo and lettuce
no need for a coat
free birthday gift from Aveda (essence of lavendar in a little spray bottle- all the other dozen scents were NaRsTy)
Dad's introduction to the Diesel Cafe. It rated his seal of approval.
Hearing his schemes for photoshop/graphics projects, including a gold emblem with a silouette of a seal with just "approval" on it. Not entirely original, but should be fun for him.
Buying blue manic panic for Dad's hair. We have yet to apply any. Experimentation must happen first to see how it looks. *grin*
BoUnCe. Guess who had coffee & a rasberry yummy square?! No--- me!!! Tsk. Elvis went home, man.
