I've been feeling like I've been at a very low point with interacting and energy levels.
And I realize that having the weather resemble dog's breath (K and I agreed walking home from getting our takeout last night that it was as if we were walking through an infinte amount of dog breath.) Is that why they call it the dog days of summer?!
Anyway, between that, being at the low point of my cycle, and who knows what else, the past several days I've done little to nothing despite the opportunity for some real fun social interaction.
I woke up this morning, did my exercises and finally felt energized by them rather than dragged down. My dreadful sit-at-the-computer posture has done a number on my neck, but at least today it's no worse. This is my cue to call the eye doctor already since the origin of the hunching is squinting at the damned screen.
The past week my coworker and I have interviewed catalogers. "A" was a solid dud and "B" and "C" are a tough choice. B has a lot of qualifications and enthusiasm but already has a full time job (ours is up to 15 hours and not permanent). C will not have a job by September. She's also qualified but doesn't have specific theological knowledge. I'm kinda glad the final decision is my coworker's, not mine, although I'm leaning towards C over B.
Robin is off to Maine for the week, so I'll be running back and forth between my office and the reading room depending on how many researchers show up. Given I've been interrupted 3 times while making this post, I'll call it close enough.

I very much understand the weather stifling any energy or desires for social interaction. It's been truly brutal lately, yesterday especially.

And I'm looking forward to spending some time with you tomorrow night. Not to mention lunch today.
