Halloween Costumes
So, I'm certain whatever I do on Saturday will involve a costume, and I'm remarkably blaise thus far.
In the hopes I come up with a clever idea, I ask you, the audience:
1. are you dressing up?
2. If yes, as what?
3. Do you have any realistic ideas for me considering I'm limited in time and money and prefer something that's street-legal.
Thoughts I've had thus far is: Wash, Harry Potter, and the old reliable psychedelic hallucination(thought up in college- extrapolate as you will). This involves temporary hair dye, a trip to get the wildest set of tights ever (maybe 2 sets), and possibly body paint.
edit: Ok, probably going w/ Hallucination because I already have all the bits- except for the tights. Has anyone seen any swirly colorful representations? I've looked at Super Socks in Downtown Crossing and the temporary Halloween shop in Davis w/ no love. My backup plan is to paint some plain ones, but that sounds like *work*.

One of my best costumes ever was a duo I did with my first wife. We dressed in our most geekish con-gear - buttons, fen T shirts, carrying stacks of sf books and pocket programs and generally nerded up to the extreme. Whenever anyone asked what our costume was, we would kiss vociferously because we were...

That's right up there with EvilA. wearing his SCA armor and rigged a pair of 2 liter bottles (a la beer bong) to his helmet. He was a Teutonic (2 tonic) knight.
