Because I have a fair bit of purple scottish wool I *can't* use (too itchy) I want to find a new home for it. I also have other things I expect I don't want. I bet I'm not the only one out here who has a similar problem!
Solution:

[Poll #628849]

I'm sure I've forgotten something, but them's the basics.
EDIT: Hey, I thought of an addendum already! I expect there will be orphan yarn at the end of this. What should I/we do with it? Comment if you have any groovy ideas

I'm on a scarf making frenzy;) If you pick wool you like I will make a scarf for you in exchange for some of your purple wool which will become either a scarf or a part of a blanket;) Unless you find another home. Most of my wool comes from Windor Button, in downtown crossing I go there each week:) I'll actually be there later today to look for some new wool for a blanket project! And more soft gray wool for my shawl. LOL, when you get old you need a shawl;)

I will be away when you have your swap. Sorry to miss it!

Contact your favorite local yarn store for suggestions on where to donate yarn. My housemate got rid of 8 boxes of the stuff after she cleaned her project room (and the scary thing is there was no visible dent) by donating it to a group in Medford.

You should donate any orphan yarn to St. Francis House for their Expressive Therapy program. We have several Saori looms, a number of avid knitters among our guests, and endless other uses for yarn through that program. I can give you the details offline, if you like :)
