+ beautiful, sunny day
- difficult luncheon conversations
- realizing my wallet isn't on my person due to me fumbling it in the street on the way to lunch
+ish: minimum plastic in my wallet, called ASAP, so... inconvenient, not crippling.
- need to buy a new Tpass for the month (weeklies, thanks)
+ coming back from lunch to find a box of uber-huge chocolate covered strawberries from purple_terror as a late VDay present
+ sharing the sweets with co-workers. They were extremely impressed and appreciative

Very valid point. I was >< this close to just stopping in first thing on the way back from C-Town. Except for that lack of being able to pay or prove how I am. In the meantime, I'm banking on maybe someone returning the ID, so waiting a day or 2 to replace that. (Watch me need to drive every day between now and the day I have a licence in hand)

Ugh. I left my wallet somewhere once and it got swiped by some twerpy teens. A nice man found it at the end of his driveway after the teens tossed it out their car window and brought it to my house. I hope your wallet meets a similarly kind fate.

so, you've tagged this "life lessons". What's the lesson? Don't fumble for your wallet?????

This stinks, but I think this is just one of those Things That Happen, not necessarily a mistake to avoid...is it?

Lesson: If you are walking down the street, and you feel/hear your phone ring and your phone is wedged in with stuff including your wallet, stop and answer the phone while being aware. I am 99.9% certain that the loss was because I was trying to walk and dig out the phone. A bit more time and care would have kept this from happening.
