Survived

The weekend that is.

Today's a bored meeting and I'm all dressed up even wearing heels. I have no idea how long *that* will last. I have backup foot wear, so I await the inevitable.

Mandi's headed back to Michigan. It was a laid back visit, at least I think so. The first visits were much more tense, but I've learned to believe that we need not go-go-go in order to have a real visit.

The party Saturday was much more laid back and smaller than last month's, which was nice... but now I have 4 ziplocks of jello shots in the freezer. Oops! They'll keep, thankfully. Thanks to all who came and made the evening so groovy

Long story short, I bought Angel season 1 yesterday... a bit of a gamble given I've not watched much of it yet but had every intention of starting as my new TV addiction, since Buffy will soon be nothing but reruns. I think it'll be a good investment- they do not have it syndicated on any network and not renting at Ballbuster yet... only selling. So, here begins the new vampire addiction!

What he said about Ballbuster. The only time we rent from there is on the first Friday of a new release, at 11pm when they've all sold out; so that we get a free certificate to rent it another day, with no money expended. :)

I recommend Video Horizons in Arlington Heights; about 1/2 mile past the Mass Ave/Park Ave intersection as you come from Lexington; near the Dunkin Donuts and the intersection with Lowell St, on the left, yellow sign. They're indie and have a decent stock. For art films, there's a video store in Concord Center that's pretty good, or City Video in Porter.
