Travel here was a non-issue, yay. Although there were too many screaming kids on the plane- what else is new. It took us til about 4 or so before we could have lunch at the food court.
One funny moment going from airport to hotel: coming out of the subway looking to see where our hotel was on the map- a local looked at my Can't Stop the Signal shirt and Serenity hat and correctly pegged me as a con-goer. It didn't sink in that 40,000 geeks. That's a geek city. Bigger than the town I went to undergrad. Bigger by far than where I currently live. I'm hoping someone will see the Australia pin for what it is w/out prompting.

It took 2 hours to fly here. It took 2 hours to get our badges. That was something. Coming down the ramp when first entering the building, I felt like I was about to enter an abettoir. Seeing the queue once inside didn't make me feel better ;) But there weren't any rotating knives, so all is well.

Dinner- woah.  French American Brasserie. food rambling )

Tomorrow's proposed schedule includes James Marsters Q&A, Nathan Fillion Q&A, Robert Llewellyn (Red Dwarf), Dr Horrible screening, Buffy OMWF sing-along, midnight-thirty Abney Park.

'k love you goodnight!
