After the emotional day I had yesterday, I'm seriously considering jumping ship on my current BC and start the new formula after this pack is up ... begins with a D but can't read the N.P.'s handwriting (laugh).
Despite all, I managed to keep some sort of grasp on my composure yesterday. Went to Tasca with the Fam for Milknut's bday (Luffluff!), then to Harvard Sq's Finale for very very excellent dessert. I chose the something or other mousse with the blackberry and brandy sorbet- they gave Milknut a creme brule for her bday dessert, which I helped eat some of.
The new monitor works, so quiet_elegance played shootemups til the wee hours. Hell, didn't even hear him come in to bed!
I'm reading Riding Shotgun by Rita Mae Brown, and so far I'm entranced. Yay good books!
A final and rare political moment: if you're feeling like it, check out Howard Dean's site. I refuse to spam my friends with forwarded emails no matter who is urging me to "pass it on." So, I choose to say look if you care here :) Otherwise, pretend this last paragraph isn't here.

Dean’s web site is http://www.deanforamerica.com/ for those who prefer a clickable link to Google. Perhaps more interesting is http://www.blogforamerica.com/.
In the general election, I’ll gladly support any candidate with a chance of beating Bush. If I had to choose between Bush and Nixon, I’d support Nixon, and I’m not kidding; Bush is a much bigger threat to the survival of the nation and its form of government than Nixon was. But Dean is the first individual candidate I’ve ever given money to before the primary.
I admit I worry a bit about how he’ll stand up when the rabid right starts attacking him in earnest, but on balance I think he’s probably the best chance for unseating Bush. Kerry has name recognition and the support of the establishment, and gets points for marching in Pride and posing for a picture with Nathan Mehl (who was in drag, I believe), but he’s the consummate slick political insider, and I think a lot of people are going to see him as Just Another Politician, and nothing to get excited about. Dean is good at getting people excited, including people who haven’t been involved in politics before, and/or who were Republicans or independents.

Re: clickable links
It does concern me a bit that the Republicans seem to think that Dean is the opponent they want, but I'd like to see them surprised.
As I said (in your journal as well as here), though, I'll gladly pull the lever next to "Anybody but Bush".
