Good: Finding a show to watch with quiet_elegance
Bad: Having elements of Dexter incorporate into my dreams. (For those who watch: the eventually revealed bad guy from season 1 was interacting with me and manipulating me.) No surprise why I don't feel rested.

Neutral to eh:
By the bye: today's the beginning of my new hours at the library- 9-5. Not hugely revolutionary, but half an hour on Mass Ave's bus schedules are somewhat significant. I'm sure I'll get used to it. Also, sometimes I'll be at work until 6- or in this Wednesday's case, 7. This I love even less but it's not every week. It's all relative. The folks who have to work late at the BPL have to stay until 8, iirc.

I'd heard that Dexter was tres creepy. Looks like that pans out. Empathy for the bad dreams, hon.

And yes, out in the branches we work until 8 on our late nights (like mine, tonight!). The folks downtown work until 9 Monday through Thursday. On the other hand, we only start at 12noon or 1, so it's not quite the same thing.

Mandate from the people, I suppose. We'd been doing surveys for almost a year. Also, nobody's in before 9 most times. We set up an upon request open til 7 option for some, and this Wed. is the first occasion someone took us up on it. Happily on a the one day we're open until 6 now.

While it is all relative, I really prefer the old way- lemme out early, thanks!! I have to see about being able to use my 2 comp hours for leaving early on Friday, or something. I also have a full comp day for working on Saturday, but I can't take that until sometime in July given how INSANE things are here this month.

*smile* Sympathies on the bad dreams, but personally I'd be kinda psyched if Dexter, and especially the bad guy, were flitting through mine. Hope the commute it getting more comfortable- better than biking to it in the rain!

I've been tearing through season 2 with q_e for the past week- our mantra: "there's a season 3!" :)

Whee! Actually, how are you accessing Season 2? Somebody tivo'd? I'm dying to get at it. (I can only watch 'bad guy' xxx-spoiler-xxx-spoiler-xxx adorably and Dex xxx-spoiler-xxx respond adorably and wince so many times...)

Since we have Showtime, we can watch it On Demand. This is the first time I've really experimented with this service so far. Definitely some compatibility bugs between it and our early generation Replay, but I'm very pleased to watch a show whenever I like. I just have to make sure nothing's set to record while we're in the midst- it messes it up :(

Would I could commit to that- there's somewhat limited availability for it (goes away soon), and given how crappy my schedule has been lately, I really don't want to get your hopes up. However, you may find someone else who can now that you know my clever Dexter secret
