quiet_elegance 's birthday copy of Guitar Hero Metallica is a lot of fun. I am not sure I ever want to learn drums, though. Yikes :P q_e seems quite happy to flail away, though. No Leaf Clover and King Nothing were my favorites of this evening's jam session. Until we got the world tour bits and this version of the game, we had to play GH in a relay if all 3 of us were into it. None of us want to sing (yes, do come over kazmat and/or yes, I'll come play at your house ) -

I did just buy a copy of Rock Band- I've been told by this guy I know it's a good game. And I'm keen on the compare/contrast. What I also want to do is get a copy of the first GH, but I don't think it exists for Wii, and I dunno if it would work on the system. (yes, if someone knows, tell me if it works, but just the one time).

GH III is the first GH for the wii. Neither GH or GH II were back ported, so you'd need a Playstation, Xbox, etc if you want to play the first two. Did you get the Rock Band drum set, or are you using the one from GH? I've played RB on an Xbox, and it was similarly fun. According to gweeprefect, RB is much more forgiving if you suck.

We have GH drums. It's too bad about GH I being incompatible. I hear it's awesome. I'm just relieved I don't have to buy new equipment to play RB.

I'm verrrry curious to see how someone who started with GH: World Tour likes playing Rock Band, the far far superior game. :)

Well, I am biased, but even, objectively are games are rated way higher and are put together much better. We're just better at what we do. Even the GH developers admit as much. :)

I say "we" as if I had anything to do with making the games rather than working our websites. But even rockband.com is far, far better than guitarhero.com. ;)
