In the past 24 hours,
our house has developed a leak-in-the-house ice dam(n)
I've heard of at least one friend and her SO breaking up
Another friend and her SO's relationship on the rocky shoals
A major (2nd degree) burn happening to the hapless
At least another handfull of people I know getting this new crud to add to the score who already were infected (including Fubar- living up to his nickname, poor lumpy)
At least the house situation seems to be under control for the moment, I'm not yet unhealthy, and my relationships are in the pink. I'll take what I can get.

Yeah, I've got a case of winter blahs but at least I'm not ill, injured, or otherwise having any real trouble. Knock on wood.

I'm glad *you're* feeling OK. Sorry about PT being sick though.

You know, this week is the first time I'd ever heard the term "ice dam." I didn't even know what it was, and now *everyone* is talking about them. Need to get out of Columbus more.

Meanwhile, in the land where it never snows, we *still* have snow on the ground.

You ever go past a house and see a mutha-effin huge chunk of ice built up in the gutter or the joint of a roof? Ice dam. It gets under shingles and siding and then it melts into the house. We learn these things early when one lives with a handyman. When we're driving down Mass. Ave. (or wherever) in winter, they are very obvious. I suppose I shouldn't have laughed at them all those times. Payback's a bitch

Ah. . .hmmm. . .I don't think I ever did notice. . .I am now wondering if my place has them -- that would suck indeed. . .
