It's never easy returning to a normal week after any kind of con. The better the experience the harder the re-entry. At least for me. This week - weather, MA politics (NO, don' wanna talk about it anymore)- I'm mostly coasting along til I find some equilibrium. With the help of coffee and coffee cake muffins today.

New year, new calendar. I think I may need a new default icon, as my hair is half a foot longer than back when I took said default.
New year, new calendar- me in my office, per usual.
and a close up of my new Kendra necklace:
... said key will also fill in as my steampunk icon- at least for the moment. Someone point me to her LJ if she has one.

Look! [livejournal.com profile] badlittlemonkey  made me a new icon. Further provenance: [livejournal.com profile] primal_pastry  braided my hair at [livejournal.com profile] mzkero 's a few weeks ago and blm was kind enough to document for me.

Ok, and now the general and painfully obvious statement: I'm a word snob. I consider this to be a positive quality, but it does make for some rankling these days. I will abuse the language a bit with various lol-cat or text abbreviations, but it's almost always for humor's sake/with irony. The thing is, I think just about everyone who bothers to read this doesn't do this, but--- for the love of all the gods! If you want to make a good first impression, please use proper grammar and spelling. Even if it's just a new potential friend. Nothing turns me off faster than a casual "ur."
OK? OK. They tell me deep breaths help right about now.

The last Etsy sale I made before this evening was in November 2008. I sold my flagship piece, The second box I ever made. I'm.... sad. I have the tools and technology, though, I shall rebuild it.
tie dye tin goes to a new home tomorrow
It's funny- I'd let everything- and I mean everything- lapse on Etsy last Thursday, so I reloaded it all this afternoon. I guess it really just is my season. I am grateful.

Oh- the purchaser is in Australia. This is my first international sale.
