This is my Friday

I've managed to get everything in one backpack again for the weekend. I love that. It's only because it's summer and I don't need bundly clothes.

Long story very short: brief freakout from this week was "Is quiet_elegance going to get enough done on the uber-huge jobs at work to leave to see the families?"
Short answer: "Yes, but won't leave until Friday afternoon."
(I leave today at 6:30)
We both got to test out our patience, communication skills, and problem solving since Friday. We succeeded beyond any previous test of said skills.



The auto mechanic never did find out what was wrong with the Gray Beast, so it was sent home without a charge to our account. I'm getting very concerned about the life-span of said Beast. QE and I will be looking to get a Subaru Forester or Outback before the previously determined December/January. More like Sept/Oct.

The furniture I ordered from Staples online yesterday arrived this afternoon. I volunteered to put Fearless Leader's part of it together (ooooh particle board and veneeeeer) and was doing so successfully until the super and his 2nd in command arrived and pretty much guilted us into giving them a shot at having all the fun. (no, really!) I felt like Tom Sawyer should have been looking on laughing at the new whitewash scam.


Oh yeah! Almost forgot the reason why I started writing was to announce my friend Manders has created a new community called meme_whores so folk can get their meme on without having any second thought about quantity or quality.

If you go to ikea, you should get those foam ice cube trays that make little shapes. Whee!
